The Primary Care Physician (PCP) provides preventive and primary medical care to patients, managing a broad spectrum of health conditions and coordinating specialized care as needed. They build long-term relationships with patients and focus on overall wellness and disease prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical exams.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage various acute and chronic conditions.
- Provide preventive care and health education to patients.
- Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare providers for integrated care.
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related field.
- Valid state medical license.
- Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of primary care best practices.
