The Chaplain provides spiritual care, support, and guidance to patients, families, and staff members in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, hospices, and long-term care facilities. They address the emotional and spiritual needs of those experiencing illness, trauma, or end-of-life situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer spiritual counseling, prayer, and support to patients and families.
- Conduct religious services, rituals, and end-of-life rites as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide holistic care.
- Respect and accommodate diverse religious and spiritual beliefs.
- Facilitate grief counseling and bereavement support.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized chaplaincy organization (e.g., ACPE).
- Experience in pastoral care, counseling, or a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
